The Australian Network of the International Women’s Insolvency & Reconstruction Confederation (IWIRC) was established under an official charter granted by IWIRC in November 1995. IWIRC(WA) was a chapter of that national network.
IWIRC(WA) was formed in 2001 as a not-for-profit professional association for those working in insolvency, reconstruction and related fields.
IWIRC(WA) became RINWA in 2018, which stands for Restructuring & Insolvency Network Western Australia. RINWA will continue to encompass the fundamental IWIRC objective, to promote diversity in the insolvency industry.
It is hoped that RINWA will be known, as was its predecessor, for being a welcoming environment filled with opportunities for practitioners (in particular junior practitioners) to build their professional networks.
The objectives of RINWA are:
- To promote diversity in insolvency related professions;
- To provide opportunities for education and self-development for Members;
- To assist our Members to share networks, experiences and business opportunities.
RINWA’s diverse membership base includes lawyers, accountants, bankers, academics, litigation funders, insurance providers, valuers, auctioneers and policy makers.
The RINWA Committee is comprised of 10-15 professionals (both male and female) in the insolvency sector.
